Hellen Fissihaie

Entrepreneur, Investor, Global Strategist, and Founder & CEO of Nia Khen Capital

Hellen Fissihaie is a dynamic entrepreneur, investor, and global strategist dedicated to unlocking Africa’s creative and economic potential. Born in Sudan and raised in Dallas, she has spent over a decade bridging global capital with local opportunities across emerging markets.

She is the Founder and CEO of Nia Khen Capital, an emerging investment firm launching Nia Film and Creative Fund I — a pioneering fund focused on East Africa’s $20+ billion creative and creator economy. The fund seeks to bridge the African diaspora, foster intra-African co-productions, and strengthen regional infrastructure to amplify authentic African storytelling, drive job creation, and enhance global competitiveness.

As CEO of F3 Global Advisory Group LLC, Hellen has advised Fortune 500 companies, U.S. institutional investors, government agencies, and African investment authorities—mobilizing millions in capital and facilitating partnerships that drive inclusive growth. Her leadership has connected over 1,000+ stakeholders through high-level summits and investor delegations spanning Africa, the Caribbean, and the Middle East.

An advocate for education and youth empowerment, Hellen serves as an Adjunct Professor at Delaware State University (HBCU), where she teaches Black Politics and African American History Since 1865 to students in the U.S. and abroad. She has mentored and invested in young entrepreneurs across the U.S., Barbados, Uganda, Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Nigeria.

A former City Commissioner for the D.C. Mayor’s Office on African Affairs, Hellen continues to champion cross-border collaboration and creative exchange. With a B.S. in Political Science and an M.S. in Foreign Policy from the University of Texas at Arlington, her mission is clear: to connect capital, culture, and communities — proving that when Africa’s creative economy thrives, the world benefits.
